A Model for Mission

I have enjoyed traveling to our six zones to share our mission as a district. The reception and attendance has been great. We as Alabama North Nazarenes are committed to make Christ like disciples. To do this we are committed to six priorities:

Passionate Leadership Development (Col. 1:9)

As a church we must identify, affirm, train and release new leaders into the harvest fields.

Passionate Church Renewal (Col. 1:10)

Jesus wants His church to be healthy and whole. Too many churches today have lost their passion. They have moved from mission to maintenance.

Passionate Theological Identity. (Phil. 1:9-11)

We must help people understand who we are and what we believe.

Passionate Missional Outreach (Col. 4:2,5)

Will we love them here as we will love them there? Will we reach them? God is a missionary God,

Jesus came with a redemptive mission, and the Holy Spirit empowers you and I to fulfill His mission.

Passionate Inspiring Worship (Ps. 95)

When worship is inspiring, it draws people to the service all by itself.

Passionate New Church Development (Col. 4:3)

New works must be continually started, because individual churches don’t live forever.

We must challenge our people to:

  • Connect with God.
  • Connect with one another.
  • Connect our shared ideas.
  • Connect our shared resources.
  • Then take action to fulfill our mission.

Dare to Believe,
Greg Story, Alabama North District Superintendent
